Totally Warped!

Warped Tour 2007: Vancouver.

The most amazing day... In the lineup and I hear my name being yelled out.. so I look over and its freaken Darryl aka Daz from NZ!!! I flipped out! I was all shakin n stuff.. havent seen him for a few years, didnt know he was even in Canada and as I was on the solo mission for the day I wasnt expecting to see anyone I knew.

So he's in a band on the warped tour for a bit, they are called Sound and Fury.
After running around all tornado-like for a while, I managed to down a Corona, chuck on the S+F top they gave me and head into the festival.

Met up with Daz again after their sick performance, and checked out bands for the rest of the day. Pennywise, Authority Zero, Yellowcard, Bad Religion, Tiger Army, The Furios, Big D and the Kids Table, Fabulous Rudies, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, K-Os etc.

After a mad day of good times, I met up with Daz and the band in their pimped out tour bus.. mirrors on the ceiling, plush seats, 12 little cubby bunks.. each with a TV.. freaking rock stars eh! The booze was flowing and good tunes to be heard. Wicked to catch up with Daz and party with his band.. then the bus took off to the hotel. Kept partyin on the bus til about 2am when I finally headed back to where I was staying for all of 4 hours sleep before getting up to drive back to Whistler at 6.30 am for work at 9am.

GOOD TIMES!! So glad you spotted me Daz.. Chur! And see you again soon :)

Unbenounced to me, Mahal took me to a hip hop show.. wicked!
Had some drinks at her coool appartment and then took roady's and walked into downtown vancouver to a rad venue.. Richards on Richards.
Was an amazing show.. all Canadian hip hop stars! Huh huh! Yeh!
Mahal got hit on by a boy and didnt show much interest.. then he freakin well walked on the stage.. the main act! After the show we hung out on the st and ended up going up to this random cool appartment with all the artists. it had the mintest view of the city. I played with the cool dog until we left, i was fascinated by it! ha! More good times! Thanks Mahal!

Vancouver International Jazzzz Festival!

Vancouver jazz fest included free outdoor concerts on the stage in the pics and heeeeps of ticketed shows. went and saw a good mix.. Antibalas at the Commodore ballroom was really good, 12 piece afro-beat band! good times.. The outdoor series was really good, a wide mix of music, far afield from jazz! Also a pic from the beach to van downtown..

Loonie rides!

Every Thursday in Whistler is a night to remember.. about 300 bikers venture out to a random start location to ride a previously unannounced trail and then all go to a decided on apres ride venue for a feed and drink.. all for only $2!!

Super fun thought when i am on the ride i am wondering why i am doing it i still go back for more! Thanks hells for gettin me into loonie rides!

This was a night not to forget! Manu, Jared and Bryces birthday in the same week so good excuse for a party!
Costumes included: builder, mad butcher, baby, bmx bike box, beach babes, butterfly, bee and beekeeper, boozehag, biologist, bin bag, boarder, businessman, burglars etc. GOOD TIMES.. till the next party :)

Hey!
In Whistler, Canada, been here for 3 months now and it RULZ!
Got 20 days snowboarding in before the snow melted and now just chillin summer stylez which is rad! Got a Van..will post pic soon, and full suspension bike for the bike park, so its gonna be kick ass. Got lots of festivals to go to so watch out for updates and pics here :)
